SAVERS – R is for Reading
In this miniseries I’ll be talking each week about one of the stages of the Miracle Morning SAVERS!
This time it’s up to Reading
Reading is a very important part of the Miracle Morning. After all one of the goals is to structurally improve yourself. This all comes from the thought that you need to improve yourself before you can expect to go further in live.
Do you want to read more but you can’t find the time? In that case Miracle Morning is a great way to work through your reading list.
Off course a lot of people are reading about Personal development, how to reach your goals and business related topics. Because a lot of MM-ers want to go forward in their career or with their own company. There’s also a lot of people reading about the topic of health and sports, which is another subject that’s perfect for MM.
But it’s completely up to you to choose you topic. The great thing is that we all choose something different to read but we all have the same goal while doing it, betterment and going forward.
I personally read a lot about setting goals (getting things done, The Compound Effect) and business related topics (The Rockefeller Habits) Although I usually go inline to find information about fitness and how to grow on that point .
For me a book usually it usually end’s up full of notes and post-it’s in order to really understand it. And I usually make a recap of the books that I think are really great.
What is important to keep in mind though, is that just reading a book doesn’t do much. You have to actually use what’s in it!
On my to-read list are the following books: Good to Great, The Slight Edge, Pa wees toch eens een vent, Time Management volgens Covey, Verleende volmacht, Help mijn papa is manager and that’s only the beginning. The difference between someone who reads for Miracle Morning and someone who reads when they got a few minutes to spare, is that I KNOW that I’ll be finished with these books and many others soon.!
Anyway, what do you like to read? Which book has had a real impact on you? Please leave your tips for the ultimate game changers in the comments!
