In this miniseries I’ll be talking each week about one of the stages of the Miracle Morning SAVERS!
Today it’s all about the first S. The first S stands for Silence. You can interpret that in a number of
ways. For example literally spending some time in silence. A quiet moment before you start your
(busy) day. In that moment there are no stimuli, and no need to run or hurry, the only things there
are you and silence. Even if you just get 10 minutes of silence, it’ll make a great difference during the day!
Often times the first S is filled with prayer or meditation. Personally I start the day with the E of
Exercise (more about the order of the SAVERS in the next blog) to wake up. Followed by reading a
chapter from the Bible and prayer. After that I meditate. Now I’m a very down to earth ind of person,
so I figured meditation wouldn’t be for me. Meanwhile I’ve been using Headspace for weeks now.
This app leads you through calm, no-nonsense, meditation to gain focus and peace. While you’re
meditating and after!
Silence at the start of your day makes all the difference! You take a moment just for you to rest. Even
if it’s just sitting still for a while. Or getting more peace of mind through meditation. It makes you feel
great. Whatever you choose good luck and have fun with the S of Silence!
